Welcome to SPDNS Nursecare CIC

SPDNS Nurse Care was established in 1979 and became a Community Interest Company in 2007. Our services directly benefit the local community and any surplus is re-invested in the company. From our office in Westcliff on Sea we provide services to people living in the Southend area.  SPDNS has been providing domiciliary care for more than 30 years. We work in partnership with Fair Havens and St Luke’s Hospices to provide hospice at home services. Hospice at Home celebrated it's 20th Anniversary in 2012. The company is founded on a Christian ethos and is totally inclusive, caring for and employing people of all faiths and those who profess no faith. SPDNS is governed by a Board of Directors who are responsible for ensuring that the organization delivers services in line with its Community Interest Statement and achieves our business goals. SPDNS Nurse Care is registered by the Care Quality Commission and following our most recent inspection in March 2012 was found to be fully compliant with the essential standards that were inspected. The Inspection included conversations with some service users who said that staff were "caring and knowledgeable about their needs"; "some of the long term carers were just like friends"; "I look forward to seeing them every day"; "feel safe in the hands of their carers; "would be confident in raising a concern".   A copy of our latest report can be found at: www.cqc.org.uk
