Community carers to support people with life-limiting illness,
and their families at home at night time

Job Description: -

SPDNS Nurse Care CIC, working, in partnership with Fair Havens Hospice at Home are looking to recruit two community carers to support people with life-limiting illness, and their families at home at night time.

The successful applicants will: -

  • Have relevant “care of the dying” experience

  • Be available flexibly for one or two nights a week, on a “bank” basis

  • Have empathy with life limited people and their families at home

  • Have access to their own transport

We are offering: -

Job Description: -

Caring for children and families in a wide range of settings. 

This includes support for:

  • children with disabilities and life threatening illnesses,

  • children and young people with learning disabilities,

  • educational support to achieve educational goals

  • families in crisis and safeguarding children,

  • end of life care

  • young carers support,

  • respitility overnight breaks for families.

The successful applicants will: -

be willing to rise to the challenges of caring for children in the community or in an educational setting

Community carers to be part of an exciting new and developing team

Job Description: -

St. Luke’s Hospice working in partnership with SPDNS Nurse Care CIC to provide Hospice at Home in South West Essex (Basildon, Wickford, Billericay and Thurrock)

Hospice at Home is expanding and are now recruiting community carers to be part of an exciting new and developing team – delivering personal and social care support to patients with palliative care needs in their own homes

The successful applicants will be:-

  • Caring,  compassionate and reliable

  • Wanting to make a difference to people who are facing the end of their lives,, and their families

  • Able to work early mornings, some evenings and alternate weekends, either full time or part time, on a bank basis

  • A car owner / driver

We are offering:-

  • Comprehensive, streamlined  induction

  • 24 hour supportive management

  • Access to NVQ training and career development as a student in our own NVQ centre

  • Good pay, with salaried terms  and conditions of employment, with 24 days paid holiday increasing to 28 days in April 2009

  • On the job training for those with no experience
